What it does
Shanghai Jieyue Xingchen, known as StepFun, is one of the six Chinese startups investors call the AI tigers, alongside Zhipu, Moonshot, MiniMax, Baichuan and 01.AI. Its Step Law paper on hyperparameter scaling is in the camp 1 scaling literature; CEO Daxin Jiang and chief scientist Xiangyu Zhang are on the roster.
